I am a Director of Engineering with a focus on innovation, delivery, and engineering culture. I specialise in turning around struggling engineering areas and building teams that deliver at scale in heavily regulated environments.
As an individual contributor, I specialised in all things authentication, identity, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. While I am currently taking a break from the world of identity & web security to focus on leadership roles, I still find myself helping with the world of web security and PSD2 initiatives in those roles. I also keep my hand in by offering consultancy services.

Responsible for Cera’s Engineering organisation, reporting to the CTO. Engineering at Cera delivers products that enable digital-first home healthcare, moving services out of hospitals and into people’s homes.
Director of Engineering, ClearBank
September 2023 – October 2025 | London | Remote
Responsible for ClearBank’s self-implemented UK and EU payment rails, Open Banking integrations, and API security. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, I led modern engineering teams within a heavily regulated, risk-averse environment, which required me to balance the needs of engineering with those of the business, risk, and regulators while still moving fast enough to innovate.
